Types of Reception a Bride can choose.

Having a reception isn't necessary, however, if one is held, it can be as simple or elaborated as the family wishes. Couples have many options regarding the type of reception they can choose from. Here are some listed for you:

  • Seated Breakfast- A seated breakfast is always scheduled before noon. During a seated breakfast , breakfast foods are served. Clients can even include wedding-themed breakfast items, like heart-shaped waffles & strawberries.
  • Seated Brunch- A seated brunch is usually scheduled around noon. Plated entrees, such as crepes or a light creamed dish, are typically served.
  • Buffet Brunch or lunch- A buffet brunch or lunch is often scheduled around noon. Guests cam either serve themselves or be a be served at carving, omelet, or waffle stations.
  • Afternoon Tea- Afternoon tea is traditionally served after a midday ceremony. It can range from a informal gathering where guests can eat light sandwiches to a formal English high tea complete with china, silver serves, and wait staff.
  • Cocktail Hour- A cocktail hour is usually held in the late afternoon. Guests can socialize with each while they enjoy cocktails and eat hors d'oeuvres, either set out on a table or passed from person to person.
  • Evening Reception- An evening reception usually starts after 6 P.M. This option is the most formal reception type and usually lasts four to five hours. Food is served, either at a seated dinner or at food stations that provide enough food for the main meal.
  • Desert reception- Dessert reception usually begin after 8 P.M. In addition to the wedding cake, sweets, specialty coffees, brandy, or after-dinner drinks can also be served.
